TYPE

Can be local or global. Local types are internal to the program. Global types can be accessed from the ABAP data dictionary by any program.

Predefined ABAP data types:

D - Date

T - Time

I - Integer

F - Floating point number

String - character string or variable length

XString - byte sequence hexadecimal string of variable length

C - Character

N - Numeric text (numeric character)

Byte - Hexacedimal

P - Packed number (binary coded decimals)
